Continuity of Care & Co-Management. Many eye care professionals throughout northern Michigan refer patients requiring eye surgery to Dr. Hanley and our surgical facility, The Surgery Center. Upon your evaluation at Cedar Run Eye Center, we will determine the best procedure and recovery program for you. If you are traveling from a distance, we have the ability to work with your local family doctor and eye doctor to set up same day surgery.
 
Convenience. Click here to see a map and our hours. With plenty of free parking right outside our entrances, you’ll be just a few steps away from where you want to be. At our Surgery Center, you are able to have your surgery in a state-licensed operating room and recover under the care of the nursing staff during the same day, all without a hospital admission. 
 
Expertise. With more than 20 years in eye care, our physicians and staff have performed thousands of specialty eye surgeries and countless consultations, evaluations and testing. Dr. Hanley has specialized in cataract surgery through the American College of Eye Surgeons. Dr. Hanley also has fellowship training in disease of the retina and vitreous.
 
The Surgery Center is licensed by the State of Michigan and is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).  
 
Advanced technology. From our YAG laser and Millennium Microsurgical System for small incision cataract and retinal surgery, to our Zeiss optical equipment, and Sonic Wave Phacoemulsification System, you will find that Cedar Run Eye Center and The Surgery Center are equipped with the latest technology advances.
 
Value. The Surgery Center, is a freestanding outpatient ambulatory surgical center (ASC).  Therefore, you will come to our office at the Cedar Run Eye Center, and relax in a familiar environment with the staff you know.  The Surgery Center is located in the same building for easy access.  Because The Surgery Center is right here, we know we can provide better patient safety and a clean environment that we meticulously control. We can also provide our patients with a high quality, lower cost alternative than going to the hospital sometimes saving thousands of dollars to the patient and the patient’s insurance company.
